The Thing About Vaccines… | Vaccine Controversies | Doctor Mike

– Vaccines. Cue the controversy. (soulful electronic music) – [Female Interviewer] So to be clear, you believe that your son’s autism is linked to the vaccination? – [Male Voice] If they don’t vaccinate, we could have a measles outbreak, and it could become an epidemic. – [Donald Trump] This
little beautiful baby, and you pump, and I
mean it looks just like its meant for a horse! – [Soft Female Voice] Never
has there been a safe vaccine. Never will there be a safe vaccine.
– Vaccines don’t cause autism and they save millions of lives every year.
– Where is the published peer reviewed evidence?
– The virus is so contagious that if exposed to it
– I wanna know the truth, I’m not anti-vaccine, I want safe vaccines. – Listening to the media,
you can really lose your mind to try figure out what the
real deal about vaccines is, because there’s so many
contradictory points! You hear people screaming
all of these things, you don’t know what to believe. And I empathize with the person who doesn’t have a great medical education, to understand what’s true and what’s not. We’re venturing out of New
York City and we’re gonna ask people what they think,
or what they believe, or what they know about vaccines. (quirky jazz music)
(keyboard clicking) (soft piano melody)
To put it simply, a vaccine is an introduction of a virus or part of a virus that allows your body to see it, to get used to it, to build up its defense, and be protected if the
real thing does come along. What do you think about vaccinations? – I don’t believe in them – You don’t believe in them?
– Hmm-mm – How come? – I think they’re real like, experiments, and the put the, the, you know, virus in us so, – Did your doctor try and like, push you or convince you to do ’em? – Yeah. Like, always. They always do that. – Why do you think they do that? – They get paid for this shit! Look.
(both laugh) – Thank you so much, I appreciate it (crowd awws) – Vaccines are not a
blockbuster hit for doctors or pharmaceutical companies. Most of the money that’s dedicated to this research goes to universities. (static buzzes) (soft pensive bells)
– It’s as heart wrenching as it gets, autism and children. – Well the vast majority of
medical experts insist that vaccines are generally safe. – You’re going to stand on
the stage and say vaccines and autism are unrelated? It is the most bogus – I’ve seen the correlations
between multiple vaccines at a very young age, and autism, and other
problems that people have. – People think autism or whatever is a risk of
– Yeah that’s going around. Can I tell you a like
a little history about, it’s really interesting. So in 1998, this guy, he was a doctor at the time, his name is Dr. Wakefield. He did this study on 12 kids, not 1,000 kids, not 1 million, 12. Found that there was an
increased risk of getting autism if they got vaccine, this specific vaccine, MMR vaccine. Measles, mumps and rubella. He was paid 500 thousand dollars
to try and create this link because of a law company that wanted to make lawsuits, right? – Right
– And this is only 12 kids he tested! So not like thousands, or 100 thousand, and he found that there
was an increased risk, and it was published. They took away his medical license, there was a really big deal about it. I cannot say this more clearly; there has been no association between autism and vaccination. Zero. None. – If you had to convince
someone that told you that despite like the best
research that you’ve seen that there is no link to autism, that they still believe that
there is a correlation somehow. – I would suggest to them that
having a child with autism is a lot better than having a dead child. You know what I mean? – What I do empathize
with you, and understand, is that the government telling people they have to get vaccines. – Right. If you don’t do it, they’re not to be registered in school.
– Can’t go to school. (soft upbeat drums)
– That’s a great thing to talk about because in one sense you want to
have control over your body, and what treatments are taken, and what illnesses you have, that’s your right to
choose and all of that but, on the other hand, if you don’t get immunized, you can harm other people. And the reason why you
put people at risk is because not every child
can get the vaccine. Not every child can be immunized. Some have a genetic deficiency in their immune system where vaccines don’t work on them. – In France we have a culture pro-vaccine but now.” – I’ve heard recently in France it’s changing a little bit,
– Yeah that’s true – and they’re thinking
about making it a law. The international community stands firmly with the US on this one. They believe every child
should be vaccinated, and in fact, there is such
a shortage in vaccines throughout the world UNICEF
says that about one child dies every 20 seconds from a disease preventable by vaccine. I heard today and I hear a
lot of times from my patients that they worry that
their kids are getting too many vaccines all at once, or they’re getting too many boosters in the first two years of life, and look, the important
things to remember, and what I really want to reassure you of, is that that schedule
is there for a reason. It’s not based on a personal whim, it’s not based on one
person’s expert opinion. It’s based on data. Quality studies that
prove this is the best way to deliver those vaccines. (quirky jazz music)
(keyboard clicking) (smooth jazz music)
I tell this over and over again to my patients, and especially when I’m
giving them the flu shot that they can’t get the
flu from the flu shot. The reason why people start
thinking that is because the season of when we give the flu shot is the most common time
of year that people generally get colds and other viruses. Just because two things happen
generally at the same time doesn’t mean one of those things
caused the other to happen. – For those that were talking about chemicals being found in our vaccines, it’s true that there are small minute quantities of chemicals, like for example, aluminum, that stabilize the vaccine or help prevent bacterial and fungal growth but, the amount of aluminum
that’s found in a vaccine is less that the amount
you find in baby formula or breast milk, think about that. Just like with everything else in life, vaccines do carry some risks. However, most of these
risks are fairly minor. Redness or swelling of the injection site, a mild fever, nothing serious. There are more serious complications like anaphylaxis which is a life threatening
allergic reaction, but it happens less than
one in 1 million cases and can be fully reversible
by a healthcare professional. As a doctor, my job is to
always weigh the benefits versus the risk when doing anything. You’re always forced to make decisions, and a lot of the time you
have to make decisions with incomplete information. But your job is to find the
best incomplete information and use that to make a decision. In this case, for vaccines,
we may learn something new about vaccines in the coming years. We may learn that they
weren’t as good as we thought, or there is some other adverse effects that we haven’t thought of, but right now, the information
that’s available to you, the quality information, shows that vaccines are good. They have higher benefit than risk, and they protect us. So there is no doubt, vaccinate
yourself and your kids. (static buzzing) – Hey guys, thanks for watching. If you haven’t already, hit

I am of the age, over 60 and I had measles, I had mumps because no vaccines available at the time. I survived with no complications. In fact, my Mom said that at the time if a mom had a child that did not get the disease they went over to the neighbors house with a child with the disease so that they could get the disease and obtain the antibodies. If the child did not get the disease that was okay . So why is it such a crisis now when children get measles in school?????? I think the medical community needs to think about this more using their own reasoning skills. On a chart that I saw autism started to rise when more vaccines started to be given. I have no axe to grind on either side. I just don't want our medical science to stray from the truth . Being a patient, that not intentionally receives bad advice, is no fun . Doctors need to be investigators like you said in one of your other videos.

My daughter got the MMR-vaccine at 18 months. Her signs of autism can be traced back to as early as before 12 months. Yes, the signs have been easier to spot the past two months (she's 20 months now), but autism usually doesn't show noticeably until around 1,5 – 2 years of age, around the time the vaccine is given. However, if you pay attention – you can in many cases see the signs before the child is evev given the vaccine. She is currently waiting for an evaluation.
From my understanding, the vaccine is a "mild" from of a disease, to alert your body to build up antibodies – so if the real disease strikes, your body will know how to fight it off before it gets to you. Sure, you do become immune if you survive – but why take the risk, and at the same time also risk infecting others, say immunocompromised from chemo therapy. They don't have the capability to fight it.
If I put it like this – would you rather be attacked by one weakened little guy (the vaccine) or a bunch of strong feral maniacs (the actual disease)… Not the perfect comparison, but you get what I mean, right?

We are not above going to the hospital in fact everyone in my family goes to the doctor for an annual check up to make sure our rigs are running properly and smoothly. Our family has vaccinated for as long as any of us could remember because we understand that vaccination helps reduce the spread of preventable diseases. Even if there was a connection between vaccination and autism you have to understand that autism is just someone who is unique. There is nothing wrong with autism

Aluminum-Induced Entropy in Biological Systems: Implications for Neurological Disease (Under 1.2. The Toxic Effects of Aluminum as a Vaccine Adjuvant says the following: Follow-up experiments focusing on Al adjuvants in mice by Khan et al. [106] have shown that the adjuvants do not stay localized in the muscle tissue upon intramuscular injection. The particles can travel to the spleen and brain where they can be detected up to a year after the injection. Such findings refute the notion that adjuvant nanoparticles remain localized and act through a “depot effect.” On the contrary, the Al from vaccine adjuvants does cross the blood-brain and blood-cerebrospinal fluid barriers and incites deleterious immunoinflammatory responses in neural tissues.

It makes more sense to think that if a company wants your money then they have to provide a service or product you will buy and confidently continue buying because then the individual will provide more business by encouraging others or bringing more "customers" aka potential family members.

From what the news is reporting more than half of the kids getting the measles are fully vaccinated. Also, when I go to the cdc website for vaccine ingredients they have human and animal DNA, among many toxic ingredients, I printed each one and looked them up separately and was totally shocked, polysorbate 80, MSG, aluminum, mercury, trying to find the truth is hard, vaccines as a whole are filled with aluminum, especially the flu shot, and autism/Alzheimer’s brains are filled with aluminum……it’s very hard to have blind trust when we do not have full disclosure, and now were 1 in 36 kids are autistic. I wonder how many people come down on Dr. Mike, for being one of the “pharmaceutical pay out” doctors. Like he is just promoting vaccines to fill his pocket. But if you watch his other videos, you can clearly tell that he is being so genuine about his position. Backed with scientific evidence. I think of it this way, what if a small village had one individual child who could not be vaccinated due to health risk, wouldn’t it be so much better for the one sickly child if the rest of the children, who don’t have health issues, get vaccinated so that they don’t pass on diseases to the one who could get the most sick and ultimate die from a weakened immune state. That’s the point of vaccines. It is not just about protecting yourself/child, it is also about protecting those who can die from not being able to be vaccinated.

I realize that this is no clinical study, but I monitor my health frequently and realize that, with my immune system being at a disadvantage, every year I avoid a flu shot, without missing a beat, I get the flu for 2-4 weeks with 1 severe week . However, if I do take the flu shot and get the flu, it lasts 1-2 weeks with one day I have to call in sick.

However, I do understand that there can be rare risks to getting a vaccine dependant on the person's immunal reaction, and keep remembering how my vet tells me my dog needs her blood tested whenever she gets certain work done to assure the shots won't harm her…

With that in mind, couldn't a concerned parent not get bloodwork done on their child for a personalized risk assessment?

I know I’m late to this video, but I was wondering how someone would go about getting their vaccines if they were on vaccinated as a child? Would you just get them all at once? Would be interesting if you made a video on this topic.

Hi everyone. I've been arguing with a lot of antivaxers and they've made the argument about Aluminium being present in vaccines. And whem I've mentioned that the Aluminium is way less in vaccines than in baby food, their response was injesting only absorbs 0.3% and injecting absorbs 95%. Is this true and if so how would you respond to this?

I've had to tell YouTube to stop recommending me one of the channels, iHealthTube. It spreads very flimsy medical information. The last time I even went there was to dispute their claims on chemotherapy, and the comments consists of almost pure anecdotes about how bad chemotherapy is. Not sure I want to know what their take on vaccines are, although I can guess.

"The threat posed by biological agents employed in a terrorist attack on the United States is arguably the most important homeland security challenge of our era.

Whether natural pathogens are cultured or new variants are bioengineered, the consequence of a terrorist-induced pandemic could be millions of casualties—far more than we would expect from nuclear terrorism, chemical attacks, or conventional attacks on the infrastructure of the United States such as the attacks of September 11, 2001.

(…) Bioengineering is no longer the exclusive purview of state sponsors of terrorism; this technology is now available to small terrorist groups and even to deranged individuals."

The recent anti-vaccine movement correlates directly with a decline in governance , starting with official pro-vaccination campaigns in regard to bird flu variations since 1997.

Few people have died due to bird flu, but cases of narcolepsy have been reported in Europe due to the use of boosters in 2009 ('Pandemrix' by US company GlaxoSmithKline):

When large parts of the population – like the black woman in this video – distrust the legitimacy of governments in matters of public hygiene then this points to a crisis in political culture – which is more severe than mere 'irrationality' of individuals.

From the deliberate spreading of small pox among the Shawnee besieging Fort Pitt by Jeffrey Amherst in 1763 to the transnational bioterrorism by the 'South African Institute for Maritime Research' infecting the black population of Africa with HIV contaminated blood products during the 1980s, the history of elitist policies have created popular resentment – even against individuals who feel bound by the 'Hippocratic Oath'…

    (MEASLES, MUMPS, and
The following adverse reactions are listed in decreasing order of severity, without regard to causality,
within each body system category and have been reported during clinical trials, with use of the marketed
vaccine, or with use of monovalent or bivalent vaccine containing measles, mumps, or rubella:
    Body as a Whole
Panniculitis; atypical measles; fever; syncope; headache; dizziness; malaise; irritability.
    Cardiovascular System
    Digestive System
    Pancreatitis; diarrhea; vomiting; parotitis; nausea.
    Endocrine System
    Diabetes mellitus.
    Hemic and Lymphatic System
    Thrombocytopenia (see WARNINGS, Thrombocytopenia); purpura; regional lymphadenopathy;
    Immune System
Anaphylaxis and anaphylactoid reactions have been reported as well as related phenomena such as
angioneurotic edema (including peripheral or facial edema) and bronchial spasm in individuals with or
    without an allergic history.
    Musculoskeletal System
    Arthritis; arthralgia; myalgia.
Arthralgia and/or arthritis (usually transient and rarely chronic), and polyneuritis are features of infection
with wild-type rubella and vary in frequency and severity with age and sex, being greatest in adult females
and least in prepubertal children. This type of involvement as well as myalgia and paresthesia, have also
been reported following administration of MERUVAX II.
Chronic arthritis has been associated with wild-type rubella infection and has been related to persistent
virus and/or viral antigen isolated from body tissues. Only rarely have vaccine recipients developed
    chronic joint symptoms.
Following vaccination in children, reactions in joints are uncommon and generally of brief duration. In
women, incidence rates for arthritis and arthralgia are generally higher than those seen in children
(children: 0-3%; women: 12-26%),{17,56,57} and the reactions tend to be more marked and of longer
duration. Symptoms may persist for a matter of months or on rare occasions for years. In adolescent girls,
the reactions appear to be intermediate in incidence between those seen in children and in adult women.
Even in women older than 35 years, these reactions are generally well tolerated and rarely interfere with
    normal activities.
    Nervous System
Encephalitis; encephalopathy; measles inclusion body encephalitis (MIBE) (see
    CONTRAINDICATIONS); subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE); Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS);
acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM); transverse myelitis; febrile convulsions; afebrile
convulsions or seizures; ataxia; polyneuritis; polyneuropathy; ocular palsies; paresthesia.
Encephalitis and encephalopathy have been reported approximately once for every 3 million doses of
M-M-R II or measles-, mumps-, and rubella-containing vaccine administered since licensure of these
The risk of serious neurological disorders following live measles virus vaccine administration remains
less than the risk of encephalitis and encephalopathy following infection with wild-type measles (1 per
    1000 reported cases).{58,59}
In severely immunocompromised individuals who have been inadvertently vaccinated with measlescontaining
vaccine; measles inclusion body encephalitis, pneumonitis, and fatal outcome as a direct
consequence of disseminated measles vaccine virus infection have been reported (see
CONTRAINDICATIONS). In this population, disseminated mumps and rubella vaccine virus infection have
    also been reported.

Stevens-Johnson syndrome; erythema multiforme; urticaria; rash; measles-like rash; pruritis.
    Local reactions including burning/stinging at injection site; wheal and flare; redness (erythema);
swelling; induration; tenderness; vesiculation at injection site; Henoch-Schönlein purpura; acute
    hemorrhagic edema of infancy.
    Special Senses — Ear
    Nerve deafness; otitis media.
    Special Senses — Eye
Retinitis; optic neuritis; papillitis; retrobulbar neuritis; conjunctivitis.
    Urogenital System
    Epididymitis; orchitis.
Death from various, and in some cases unknown, causes has been reported rarely following
vaccination with measles, mumps, and rubella vaccines; however, a causal relationship has not been
established in healthy individuals (see CONTRAINDICATIONS). No deaths or permanent sequelae were
reported in a published post-marketing surveillance study in Finland involving 1.5 million children and
    adults who were vaccinated with M-M-R II during 1982 to 1993.{61}
Under the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986, health-care providers and manufacturers are
required to record and report certain suspected adverse events occurring within specific time periods after
vaccination. However, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has established a
    Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) which will accept all reports of suspected events.{49}
A VAERS report form as well as information regarding reporting requirements can be obtained by calling
    VAERS 1-800-822-7967.

A recent topical example: the diphtheria case, and the "fear" created by this one, extremely mild,
case in an unvaccinated child. Dr Ossi Mansoor, a principal doctor regarding vaccination policy,
stated on Radio Pacific, "The figures we have are that in the 1920s there were 800 deaths every
year" (from diphtheria). Yet the New Zealand Government's statistics show the average yearly
number was below 100, also that the average death rate per 10,000 mean of population fell from
6.08 to 0.20 before the use of the diphtheria vaccine. — “Southland Times,” 30 Sept. 1998

"The reason vaccinations are promoted with such intensity is to prevent people from realising that
vaccines do not protect and also in the event of an outbreak or an epidemic the vaccinated are as
much at risk of becoming infected as the unvaccinated. The truth can be kept hidden if people's
vaccination status remains unknown and if everyone is vaccinated, making a comparison with
unvaccinated people impossible. This is also the real reason for the relentless push to vaccinate as
many children as possible."– Dr Buchwald (The Decline of Tuberculosis despite "Protective"
Vaccination by Dr. Gerhard Buchwald M.D. p 101)

You can't. Because you DO NOT know.

  91. Mark Sweeter

And… you DON'T inject baby formula or other foods directly into the bloodstream. The metals in a vaccine are instantly added to the bloodstream. Metals contained in food are slowly ingested over years in small quantities. They do not instantly and suddenly enter the bloodstream. That is a FALSE argument. It is also one of the most common arguments parroted by the medical community. Which proves one thing… Doctors go to medical school. Yes. They are taught to parrot what they are told.. by big $$$$$. No doctor has the time to research all this stuff on their own. They know just as much as you can know.. reading published studies and research.. all funded by by pharma… and protected by the govt from lawsuits.

You'd be a fool to trust those studies without any question.
